    Daijiworld Media Network – Patna

Patna, Nov 6: Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a massive rally in Bihar’s Purnia on Thursday, accusing him of diverting the attention of India’s youth with “cheap data and social media addiction” instead of addressing unemployment.

Addressing a large gathering, Rahul Gandhi said the Prime Minister had replaced real opportunities with virtual distractions. “Your Prime Minister says he has given you the intoxication of the 21st century. What earlier came from alcohol or drugs now comes from Instagram and Facebook. Youth are glued to reels 24 hours a day,” he remarked.

Taking a jibe at the government’s digital policies, Gandhi asked, “How much money have you earned from Instagram or Facebook? Has any of it reached your pockets? Do you want jobs or Instagram?”

He alleged that PM Modi had “snatched employment from Indian youth and handed it to China,” turning Bihar’s young workforce into labourers forced to migrate in search of livelihood.

Criticising Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Gandhi claimed that the CM’s “remote control” was in Modi’s hands, calling the state government a puppet administration serving Delhi’s interests.

Amid the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections, the Congress leader urged young voters to “resist vote theft” and defend the Constitution. He reiterated that the INDIA Bloc’s focus was on job creation, education, and reviving Bihar’s intellectual heritage by developing world-class institutions such as Nalanda University.

“We want to fill your pockets, not those of billionaires,” Gandhi said, promising that a Mahagathbandhan government would prioritise the poor, the backward, and the working class.
