    Psychologist and Iron River native joins Aspirus in IR | News, Sports, Jobs

    Lisa Pangrazzi

    IRON RIVER – Aspirus Iron River Hospital and Clinics has added clinical psychologist Dr. Lisa Pangrazzi to its team of behavioral health professionals.

    An Iron River native, Pangrazzi specializes in delivering behavioral health treatment in rural settings by providing assessment and psychological services to individuals and families struggling with mental health and/or substance abuse issues, according to an Aspirus news release.

    She has a doctor of psychology in clinical psychology from Union Institute and University, where her research focused on providing behavioral health services in a rural culture. She also earned two master’s degrees from both Union Institute and University and Duquesne University and a bachelor of science in addiction studies from Mercy College of Detroit.  She completed her doctoral residency program, where she gained comprehensive training in providing psychological assessment and clinical services, specifically in rural settings.

    Pangrazzi received IRB approval from Aspirus Health to complete research for her dissertation, which focused on mental health in rural culture.

    With extensive clinical experience, Pangrazzi has provided services to adults and adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues in inpatient, intensive outpatient and traditional outpatient settings. Her expertise includes intakes assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning and aftercare coordination.  She is skilled in a range of treatment modalities, including individual, family and couples therapy as well as group, multifamily group therapy and delivering psychoeducational lectures.

    Pangrazzi said in the news release that she is excited to return to the area. “I am honored to join the Aspirus team and to have the opportunity to provide quality, effective behavioral health treatment in the rural community in which I was raised,” Pangrazzi said.
