The Katz Amsterdam Charitable Trust has announced its latest round of funding across the Mountain West, including $500,000 to Summit County organizations for mental health and substance use recovery via the Park City Community Foundation.
Since 2016, Katz Amsterdam has invested more than $22.3 million in mental and behavioral health initiatives across mountain communities, including over $3.6 million in grants delivered through Park City Community Foundation to local organizations addressing mental health in Summit County.
As part of this year’s funding cycle, Park City Community Foundation will again direct $500,000 to strengthening mental health and substance use recovery resources in Summit County. The foundation said the investment will continue to support culturally responsive care, bilingual mental health services, crisis intervention, youth mental health programming and substance use recovery efforts.
The foundation said that the support will benefit organizations including Jacky’s Recovery Support Services (formerly Latino Behavioral Health Services), Jewish Family Service of Utah, People’s Health Clinic, Peace House, Christian Center of Park City, Holy Cross Ministries, Live Like Sam Foundation and the Summit County Recovery Foundation. The organizations provide trauma-informed support, mental health navigation, peer services, youth prevention programming and expanded access to treatment for residents across the county, the foundation said.

It directly impacts lives every day.”

In addition to Park City and Summit County, Katz Amsterdam grants continue to support a network of mountain communities including Aspen, Crested Butte, Eagle County, Steamboat, Summit County, Telluride (Colorado), Sun Valley (Idaho), Jackson (Wyoming), Tahoe/Truckee (California/Nevada) and Big Sky (Montana).
