Paris Jackson opened up about the physical effects of drug use nearly six years after getting sober.

In a TikTok video posted on Monday, Jackson begins by sharing a dream in which she was a guest on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” discussing the additives in American foods and their correlation with mental health. She then shifts to discussing her sobriety journey and explaining why she has a “really loud whistle” when she breathes through her nose.

“I have what is called a perforated septum, slightly different from a deviated septum. And that is what you think it’s from,” Jackson says after using the flashlight on her phone to show viewers.

“Don’t do drugs, kids. Or, I mean, do. Everyone is going to have the experience they need to have with life,” she says, adding that she didn’t want to “tell anyone what to do.”

“But I don’t recommend it, because it ruined my life,” she adds.

Jackson also explains why she doesn’t want to fix the issue.

“I don’t want to get plastic surgery to fix it because I’m almost six years sober,” she says, citing concerns about aftercare, which involves taking pills.

The daughter of Michael Jackson said she has dealt with this condition since she was 20 years old, and notes that “it’s a bitch” to deal with when she’s singing in the studio. She concluded by revealing she can stick a spaghetti noodle through the hole in her nose.

In an Instagram post in January, Jackson celebrated five years of sobriety.

“Today marks 5 years clean & sober from all drugs and alcohol. To say that I’m thankful would be a poor euphemism. Gratitude hardly scratches the surface. It’s because I’m sober that I get to smile today,” she wrote.
