Reality television star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino recently took part in the opening of a rehabilitation and mental health facility in Monmouth County.
The Archangel Centers held its grand opening Nov. 13 at 44 Apple Street, Suite 3, in Tinton Falls.
The MTV star, known for “Jersey Shore” and “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” said he drew on his personal experience with addiction and recovery to help open the center for others seeking treatment.
Sorrentino attended the ceremony with wife, Lauren.
The center provides mental health programs, substance abuse programs, and other services, according to a statement.
Sorrentino developed the center in partnership with Ascend Behavioral Health Network.
The facility offers partial care and intensive outpatient programming for adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues.
“The Archangel Centers represent hope and healing,” said Sorrentino in the statement. “As my ten-year sobriety anniversary approaches, seeing the center open its doors yesterday was incredibly meaningful. I wanted to create a place where people can begin their own journey to recovery with the right care and support. This center is that vision come to life.”
