Take our Forgiveness Readiness Assessment to see if you are really ready to forgive, or if you need more healing first.

Forgiveness is often pushed as the first step, but real forgiveness requires time, self-awareness, and healing. This short assessment will help you reflect on where you are in the process. Answer honestly: Always, Sometimes, or Never.

    Forgiveness Readiness Assessment

    Part 1: Emotional Awareness

    1. I can acknowledge the pain that happened without minimizing it.

    2. I’ve allowed myself to fully feel and process my emotions.

    3. I no longer feel the need to constantly rehash the situation in my mind.

    Part 2: Boundaries and Safety

    1. I feel emotionally safe around the person who hurt me.

    2. I have set clear boundaries, and I can maintain them.

    3. I believe I can say “no” or express my needs without fear.

    Part 3: Perspective and Understanding

    1. I’ve begun to understand the other person’s limitations or patterns (without excusing the harm).

    2. I recognize that forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing.

    3. I can see the possibility of moving forward in a new way.

    Part 4: Self-Care and Joy

    1. I am actively taking care of myself emotionally, mentally, or physically.

    2. I have reconnected with things that bring me peace or joy.

    3. I feel stronger in who I am, regardless of whether the relationship changes.

    Forgiveness Readiness Assessment Scoring:

    • Mostly “Always”: You may be ready to explore forgiveness from a place of strength.

    • Mostly “Sometimes”: You are still in the healing phase. Focus on boundaries, self-care, and understanding before rushing into forgiveness.

    • Mostly “Never”: Forgiveness may not be the right step right now. Prioritize your healing, safety, and rebuilding your sense of self before considering it.

    Reflection Prompt:

Ask yourself: What do I still need to heal before forgiveness feels authentic? Write down one boundary, one self-care practice, and one step toward understanding you can take today.

This is exactly the kind of guided self-work you’ll find in The Mother-Daughter Relationship Makeover Workbook for Lasting Change. It helps you uncover hidden patterns, build self-care practices, and create a foundation for authentic healing—whether forgiveness comes now, later, or not at all.

Who Is The Mother-Daughter Relationship Makeover Workbook For Lasting Change For?

Everyone who wants to understand and improve relationships with family. This workbook is for mothers and daughters of all ages and stages. Maybe you’re a mother who longs to reconnect with your adult daughter, or doesn’t understand what went wrong with her. Maybe you’re a daughter who desperately needs to let go of old resentments and hurts. Maybe you’re somewhere in between, just knowing there must be a better way.

    It’s also for anyone who:

    • Feels stuck in repetitive conflict

    • Wants to create healthier boundaries

    • Craves more closeness but doesn’t know how to get there

    • Is healing from a dysfunctional or toxic family system and needs tools for recovery

If you’ve ever wanted more love, more peace, more understanding in your most important relationship, this book was made for you.

    Why It Matters Now

Healing doesn’t just impact you and your mother (or daughter). It ripples outward. The way we show up in this relationship influences how we connect in every area of our lives—with our children, partners, friends, even colleagues. Breaking the cycle of hurt here means creating a new legacy of healthier love.

This workbook gives you the structure and courage to begin that process—and to keep going until lasting change is real.

    A Loving Invitation

If you’re ready to stop replaying the same painful dynamics, if you’re ready to learn new tools and write a new story for yourself and your family, The Mother-Daughter Relationship Makeover Workbook For Lasting Change is your guide.

Healing isn’t easy—but it is possible. With reflection, practice, and support, you can build a relationship rooted in respect, compassion, and genuine love. This workbook is here to help you get there.

Because every mother and daughter deserves a chance to heal. And so do you.
