The Erie County Community Health Center, under the umbrella of the Erie County Health Department, recently announced the official rebranding of the former Kaptur Rogowski House to Kaptur Recovery Services, according to a news release.

This strategic change signifies the expansion and integration of the Erie County Health Department’s comprehensive continuum of care for addiction treatment and recovery, all centralized on one campus, the release said.

Kaptur Recovery Services operates as a 28-day residential treatment center dedicated to helping individuals achieve and maintain sobriety.

The facility also retains its crucial two crisis stabilization beds, ensuring immediate support for those experiencing acute behavioral health crises, the release said.

The greatest benefit of the name change is the clear articulation of the comprehensive, wraparound services available on the single campus, according to the release.

Individuals seeking care now have streamlined access to multiple essential resources, eliminating common barriers to treatment:

    • Erie County Detox — Onsite detoxification services to safely manage withdrawal.

    • Erie County Community Health Center — Co-located services providing essential primary medical care, dental services and mental health counseling.

    • Kaptur Recovery Services — Offering 28-day residential treatment.

    • Intensive Outpatient and Medication-Assisted Treatment — Available through the Erie County Community Health Center to
    support long-term recovery efforts post-residency.

“This new structure is about breaking down the silos in care,” said Stephanie Salyer, chief behavioral health officer at the Erie County Health Department, in the release. “By consolidating these critical resources — from detox to primary health to long-term
recovery support — on one campus, we are making the path to recovery clearer, more accessible and more effective for every individual who walks through our doors.”

The consolidation ensures seamless transitions between levels of care, maximizing the chance for successful, sustained recovery by addressing medical, mental, and behavioral health needs concurrently, the release said.

To inquire about admission to Kaptur Recovery Services or to learn more about the Erie County Health Department’s full range of
    addiction services, call 419-624-3353.
