Addiction Resource Center in Yuba City, CA announces EveningIOP.com, a telehealth platform providing evening intensive outpatient programs for substance abuse treatment. The service addresses scheduling barriers for working professionals, students, and caregivers needing flexible access to clinical care.

Yuba City, United States, November 25, 2025 /NewsNetwork/ — A newly announced telehealth service from Addiction Resource Center addresses significant, documented barriers that those in the workforce face when pursuing treatment for substance abuse disorders. Addiction Resource Center’s evening intensive outpatient program (IOP) allows participants to receive clinical services remotely without sacrificing employment, education, or family caregiving responsibilities.

The new program responds to a persistent treatment access crisis: only 23.6% of individuals needing substance use treatment received it in 2023, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Seven published studies comparing telehealth with in-person addiction treatment found no difference in retention rates, patient satisfaction, therapeutic alliance, or substance use outcomes, establishing that remote care delivers results equivalent to traditional clinic-based models.

The Evening IOP from Addiction Resource Center represents a clinically-proven middle ground between residential and standard outpatient care, which typically requires nine to twenty hours per week of structured programming. Participants engage in group therapy, individual counseling, and specialized services while maintaining their work, school, and family commitments. According to ARC’s team of clinicians, this model allows individuals to make progress toward long-term recovery without compromising responsibilities.

“Our telehealth program allows working professionals and students the flexibility to attend sessions during lunch breaks or evenings, preserving their daily routines while maintaining continuity of care,” says a spokesperson. “It eliminates the barriers of attendance at a physical clinic and time off work for appointments, which often discourage individuals from seeking treatment.”

The program also addresses privacy concerns and stigma through confidential online sessions conducted on HIPAA-compliant platforms.

Addiction Resource Center’s EveningIOP also removes barriers that disproportionately affect rural residents and individuals with mobility challenges. Transportation challenges and limited provider availability in rural settings often prevent consistent participation in traditional programs, but telehealth allows access from any location with an internet connection.

The platform delivers a range of therapeutic services, including mental health counseling, group therapy, family therapy, and treatment for co-occurring conditions such as depression and anxiety. Qualified counselors conduct one-on-one sessions to address underlying causes of substance use, develop coping skills, and establish recovery goals. Personalized treatment plans are tailored to individual needs, with bilingual counselors available to serve English- and Spanish-speaking populations.
