Hope

Time will in fact tell, but for my recovery I need to stay in the “here and now”.

RELAPSE – it is not about the drugs

His drug of choice did not factor into the madness this time. However that factor is irrelevant. He relapsed; he is substituting one drug for another. His character flaws are as “Lit up “ as they were when he was injecting heroin.

He needs to refocus and dim the lights of relapse. He knows where the light switch is.

Pink Clouds and Roller Coasters

Parents of addicts also can be riders on the pink cloud transit. As their child enters early sobriety they begin a euphoric rebirth of their disposition. Life is better than normal. Laughter, not the battles of addiction, again permeate the home.
