Addiction Journal

Face from another time…

I went to a memorial service this morn for yet another young person lost to addiction.

I remember back to the time when this young man came into the world. I knew his family in a period of my life that was not scarred with addiction, syringes, and broken hearted parents. He will always be remembered as the smiling round faced boy in the stroller.

No moral to this story, no lesson in this post. Just sadness shared on another internet blog. The world lost another great kid from a good family. It has become all too common but this one stung just a bit harder.

My deepest sympathy to his mother and father. RIP young man.

peace and strength
