A stacked deck dealt by the Angel of Light
We often read “Screw the junkie scumbag, they chose to do drugs”
I often wonder if those who sling those diatribes know that our children (a.k.a. Junkie Scumbag) probably started dabbling in their disease while in middle school/junior high. (Or perhaps was given this prescription by an over zealous doctor?)
Are children at age 13, intellectually developed enough to make an informed decision? From the limited “science” reading I have done on the topic of addiction, the answer is a resounding NO. Their brains are wired to “take chances” and ” take risks”. JUST SAY NO? Give me a break, every fiber of a teen’s existence is to “push the limits” That is what teenagers do!
Years ago we would hang in the woods drinking beers and smoking marijuana. Those were our options. Granted they were not healthy options, but pale in comparison to the choice’s found today. Today’s future “Junkie Scumbags” have a smorgasbord of pharmaceauticals from which to choose. As the table is laid out before them, they feel “Addiction will never happen to me!”
Choices? There are many! Is a 13 year old child capable of making an informed choice? Try to think back to when you were thirteen, how “clued in” were you?
In the midst of all the choices we have a medical society driven to over prescribing for profit. Again think back to when you were 13, do you recall every 3rd television commercial being dedicated to drug sales? Don’t equate the “ditch weed” you smoked back in the days to the options available to your child. Your child’s option could have her whoring on the street to feed that addition in a short period of time. That is the undebatable reality and the fact of your war!
So for those that tell us our children had a choice and deserve to be called Junkie Scumbags, think again. The deck is stacked against this generation. Profit margins are taking precedence over the lives of our children. Slight of hand prevails as groups like the Partnership for Drug Free. org are funded by the Pharmaceuticals that profit from the addiction epidemic.
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, since Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
God help our children.

I am proof that addiction does NOT discriminate. Addiction hit the only two children I have. One started at 15 years old and progressed until he was 20. After five years of using opitates, he is now seven months clean and living away from home in a recovery community. The other child started at 13 years old and has been in teen rehab facilities twice already. She just turned 15. On Easter Sunday, I fell into the trap of discussing my children with my extended family, only to be disgusted and disappointed to hear in one breath that they “love” my children, yet in the other breath they are implying that they are low life addicts. It hurts and it hurts deep. They are opinionated and clueless.
I had a similar experience at Good Sam. I’d twisted my ankle, not horribly but after 3days of continual swelling and tenderness I figured I’d better get an X-ray just in case. Got the X-ray, no break. Just needed crutches for a few days for the sprain. The nurse attempts to hand me a prescription for Percocet. I told her I didn’t need it, Tylenol and ice was working fine. She was adamant. Said I had to take the script since the doctor ordered it. She just kept saying, “you don’t have to fill it but you need to take it”. I ended up screaming at her…It was ugly. My son is an addict and having this medical, professional pushing pain meds on me just made me iirate!!!! I didn’t take the script. Doctors REALLY need to get a grip!
Good for you!!!
My nephew went tothe ER @ Good Sam in Brockton for a sore throat he was sick…yes but when I met him later to see what was perscribed and call the drug store to find out the cost without insurance so I could pay for them….Imagine my shock to see he had a scrip for VICODIN are you kidding me for a sore throat we need Penicillin and as opiate. I called the chief of the ER he has yet to call me back…So I will call again……CRazy and wonder why this is happeneing….MJ
And for those with predisposition for the disease of addiction it is a total setup.
My son said that even though he was told not todo drugs, that they were bad and addictive…no one ever really fully explained Addiction….
Everyone knows I'm your son therefor these post break my anonymity..is Alcoholics ANONYMOUS for a reason…tard
This is NOT AA
Now here's someone that gets an underlying true cause.
Several years ago when my youngest had his wisdom teeth pulled he was given a Rx for Vicodin. I chose not to fill it. I kept him home the next day from school and they wanted a Drs. note to not call it an unexcused absence. I called the Dr and he claimed that if I had given him the Vicodin he'd have felt fine to go to school. The message of take a pill, keep yourself going was loud and clear. My son had to take the unexcused absence, I don't regret my decision.
File a complaint with the medical board of Wisconsin for improper car of a minor. It would have been cruelty to over-medicate a young adult and force his participation into public light. This type of irresponsible public care needs to be reprimand and his license revoked.

Totally agree Bill. That is why my son wants to get his story out there and education these children at an early age. If you can visually show these children this is what can happen to you if you try these dangerous drugs. If they are educated then they have a chose do I want to go down that path and end up in jail or worst dead. When my son spoke out at ECCS he did not hold anythig back, did not sugarcoat it, it was very raw and right from the heart. I remember the first time someone called my son a junkie OMG it tore right through my heart, but I learned through this experience that I really did not care what people thought. All that matter to me was my family. Sorry, I did not mean to go on and on but it brought back memories. Have a great day my friend. God Bless and yes God help our children!
Thank you so much for voicing such wonderful words. No child should be considered a "throw away", yet many are.
Great Article! A must read – especially for those "uneducated" who always feel the need to add their negative comments!
Well said….thankyou.
